A group of protesters demonstrating near the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission broke through the police cordon and barged into the office premises in Agartala of India.

According to the BBC Bangla, the Bangladesh mission in Agartala was vandalised and the national flag was taken down. It added that a meeting of the Hindu Conflict Association against the arrest of Chinmoy Krishna was held outside the Assistant High Commission of Bangladesh in Agartala.

Student leaders emphasised that the incident in Agartala violated the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, 1961, which protects the inviolability of diplomatic missions.
